The following pre-operative instructions should be followed for patients undergoing oral surgery in our office. Failure to adhere to these instructions WILL result in cancellation of surgery and a $50 fee.
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD:

Receive a reminder via text and/or phone call 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please confirm this appointment no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to do so may result in cancelling your surgery.
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD:
*
Arrive 15 minutes prior to your surgery time. If you are 10 minutes late, your surgery maybe cancelled or performed later than originally scheduled (based on physician’s schedule).
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD:
*
Adhere to no cell phones or videotaping beyond the waiting room.
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD:
*
Notify the staff if you were ever instructed by another physician to take medication before any procedure, such as an antibiotic. Failure to notify our staff may result in cancelling you surgery or additional charges.
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD:
*
Notify the staff if you have been diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, COVID or pneumonia within 4 weeks of your surgery.
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD:
*
Not participate in any more of recreational drugs 2 days before surgery
PATIENTS UNDERGOING GENERAL ANESTHESIA:
*
CANNOT HAVE ANYTHING TO EAT OR DRINK (INCLUDING WATER) after midnight the night before your surgery UNLESS instructed by Dr. Cordero.
PATIENTS UNDERGOING GENERAL ANESTHESIA:
*
MUST have a responsible adult (at least 18 years of age) accompany the patient to the office. The Driver and the vehicle MUST remain at the office the entire time of the surgery and be able to drive the patient home afterwards. NO UBER, LYFT, INSURANCE COORDINATED OR RIDE SHARING AMENITIES are allowed. Your Driver and the vehicle CANNOT leave during the surgery at any time, for any reason, or the surgery will be stopped, and the patient will be charged a fee.
PATIENTS UNDERGOING GENERAL ANESTHESIA:

Cannot drive, operate any machinery or sign legal documents 24 hours following the anesthesia experience.
PATIENTS UNDERGOING GENERAL ANESTHESIA:

Wear loose-fitting clothing with short sleeves or sleeves that can be rolled up past the elbows
