Richard Cordero, D.M.D, M.D, F.A.C.S
Meet Dr. Cordero
Dr. Cordero is an alumnus of the University of Puerto Rico where he completed his undergraduate degree in 2001 and Dental Degree in 2005. While at University of Florida, he completed his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006, his Medical Degree 2009 and his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in 2012. He was in practice in Vermont for five years where he practiced the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery until he moved to Alabama. His emphasis includes placement of dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery (extractions), orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), surgical treatment of temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders, pathology and the treatment of pediatric patients.
He is married to Telka Barberi, D.M.D., who is originally from Pensacola. He has 3 beautiful step-daughters and a grandson who he loves to spend time with. He recently moved to Spanish Fort, AL to be close to family and continue pursuing his passion in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing and the outdoors in general. He also likes cooking and spending time with all of his extended family in Pensacola, Daphne and Ocean Springs.
